October 2026 Newsletter
Dear OMP friends,
Welcome! We are so excited to share our upcoming 2026-2027 season, Emerge, with you! Whether you're new to the Oregon Mozart Players or are returning for another year of music, we warmly invite you to be part of our community as we experience these programs together.
"Our 2026-2027 season, Emerge, celebrates the spirit of birth and renewal. Whether we're reveling in the wide-eyed, unsullied optimism of teenage Schubert and Mozart, engaging Vivaldi and Piazzolla in a conversation across centuries, or immersing ourselves in nature's beauty with Beethoven, each of these programs invites us to encounter this extraordinary music with fresh ears and open hearts." - Artistic Director, David Amado
A Summer of Growth and Preparation
Executive Director Noreen Humes joined us in May and has been working closely with our board, staff, and David to prepare for an unforgettable season. We are delighted to share the progress made over the summer as we look ahead to our opening concert on October 31st.
Thank you for your support, passion, and generosity. We look forward to seeing you in the concert hall!
Warmly,
Oregon Mozart Players
Strategic Planning Session - July 2026
OMP’s Next Movement
Early this summer, OMP’s Board, staff and artistic leadership came together for a series of strategic planning conversations focused on an important question: What will it take for OMP to thrive in the years ahead?
The result is a focused Strategic Growth Plan that builds on OMP’s artistic excellence, intimacy, flexibility, curiosity, and deep community connections. Our first year centers on strengthening financial sustainability, organizational capacity and leadership, connection across the OMP family, our distinctive artistic identity and story, and relationships throughout the community.
Rather than trying to do everything at once, we are moving forward through focused 90 day priorities, measuring progress, learning from what we experience, and building from there. On the horizon are stronger community partnerships, broader audiences and relationships, deeper organizational capacity, and new artistic possibilities that make an OMP concert recognizably an OMP experience.
There is real momentum at OMP, and we are excited about what we are building together.
Join the OMP Board!
Behind every performance by the Oregon Mozart Players is a dedicated group of community leaders guiding our mission. As OMP continues to share live chamber orchestra music across the Eugene-Springfield area, we are looking for more forward-thinking community members to join our Board of Directors.
Whether you are seeking your very first board experience or bring years of leadership expertise, OMP offers an intimate, inclusive environment where every director's voice truly impacts our future. You do not need a music background to make a major difference—we value diverse professional skill sets, unique perspectives, and a shared passion for local culture!
If you or someone you know would like to join the OMP board, please contact our Board President, Sean Vierra, at president@oregonmozartplayers.org for more information, or check out Board Member responsibilities below.

Featured Artist Sponsorship
Help bring exceptional guest artists to the OMP Stage! Featured Artist Sponsorships help offset the costs of presenting the outstanding soloists who make each concert a unique experience. This season, sponsorship opportunities are available at $1,000 and $1,500 offering a meaningful way to directly support the artistry the audience experience on stage. Three soloists are available to sponsor this season:
Camille Ortiz, Soprano
Brian Hsu, Piano
Bryce Schmidt, Trumpet
If you have an idea and would like to sponsor a particular soloist in our community, or region, please reach out to Noreen at director@oregonmozartplayers.org.
Concert Sponsorship
Put your name behind an entire OMP performance! Concert Sponsors help make the full concert experience possible, from bringing exceptional musicians and guest artists to the stage to creating memorable performances for our community. Sponsorship includes prominent recognition surrounding the concert and opportunities to connect you, your business, or organization with OMP audiences.
Concert sponsorships are $6,000, with the following performances currently available for this season:
Beginnings - October 31st
Candlelight: Centuries of the Seasons - December 18th or 19th
Serious Play - February 27th
If you are interested in sponsoring a concert, please reach out to Noreen at director@oregonmozartplayers.org.
Artistic Leadership Fund
Support the artistic vision and leadership behind every OMP season. Gifts to the Artistic Leadership Fund support Artistic Director David Amado’s travel and accommodations, artistic planning, guest artist engagement, concert preparation and other essential work that brings each season to life.
Every gift helps. You can support the fund with a gift of any amount, help with airfare or airline miles, provide or sponsor lodging or car rental, or introduce OMP to a local business that may be interested in partnering with us. Sometimes the most valuable gift is simply making a connection. To learn more, please reach out to Noreen at director@oregonmozartplayers.org.
