Bashar Matti holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Oregon. While at the University of Oregon, Bashar studied with professor Fritz Gearhart and longtime teacher and mentor, Kathryn Lucktenberg. Prior to moving to Eugene, Oregon, Bashar attended the Jordanian Conservatory and the University of Baghdad. Bashar is a current member of the Eugene Concert Choir Orchestra and also plays with Eugene Symphony Orchestra. Bashar had the honor of playing in various master classes for musicians such as Jaap Schroder and Rachel Podger.
