It’s a collaborative, musical, joyous end.

Closing their 2017-2018 season, Eugene’s professional chamber orchestra Oregon Mozart Players is performing “Joyful Finale” Saturday night.

"With special performers from the Eugene Springfield Youth Orchestra and the winners of Oregon Mozart Players’ Youth Soloist Competition, the concert displays the result of a few of the Oregon Mozart Players’ educational and youth-focused projects," Oregon Mozart Players conductor Kelly Kuo said.

THE SOUND OF HEAVEN

By Morgan Theophil for the Register-Guard (March 21, 2018)

With a combination of music filled with sounds of innocence, youth, nature and God, the Oregon Mozart Players will present “The Heavenly Life” on Saturday.

“The concert will share a message of simplicity and of hope, which is a message we need to hear today,” conductor Kelly Kuo said.

Kuo, who is in his sixth season conducting the OMP -- Eugene’s professional chamber orchestra -- designed the evening to intertwine symphony and song. The first portion of the evening will feature only Kuo on the piano and guest soprano Rachel Sterrenberg.
